“For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.” Psalm 100: 5
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends here in the USA. What hit my heart earlier is that tomorrow is just one day, but we as followers of Christ are commanded to give thanks for what we do have. Yes, we need to be thankful for what we have… we need to meditate on God’s goodness, despite what we may have lost or don’t have.
I think back to the way I was living my life before I was saved; always worrying about material things, and worrying how to make ends meet. Now almost ten years later, I am simply in awe when I see how far God has brought me. He took that heavy burden off.
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11: 28-30
I am the complete opposite girl I used to be. I am just totally overwhelmed by this, and all I can do is worship God for who He is…
