… yet God sees tender compassion for other sufferers finding birth in your soul.” That’s great, but what about me? Who’s going to nurse my soul with tender care and consideration? Am I just a visual aide? A walking billboard, if you will?
I’ve been walking with God long enough to understand my trials are being used by Him to give hope to and encourage others. And I’m ok with that… most of the time. But there are times I feel so consumed by this disease. Limitations, limitations, and more limitations. This is when the enemy takes advantage. He knows the buttons to push to send me over the edge. Satan’s goal is to bankrupt my faith and make me lose the fear of God.
“Whom have I in heaven but You?” Psalm 73:25
“Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.” Psalm 73:23
There is an upside to this adversity, a tremendous benefit to this; my disability has shown me how much I need God. The hard times have shown me that I truly move and have my being only in Him – that’s the blessing. Spiritual Enrichment is what I now possess. All the prosperity and ease of this world could never produce that in my innermost being. I can never say that I “have arrived” but I’ve come a long way. God has brought me a mighty l-o-n-g way! I have tasted and I have seen that the Lord is good.
So my question to you is… How real is your faith? Faith is the only way to obtain God’s blessings. Faith is the only link that connects heaven and earth. Are you in trouble? Do you need help from God? Only by coming to Him in faith can you receive answers to His promises. Souls find refuge by leaning in faith upon God. Without faith, we call to Him in vain, for faith is the only road between our souls and heaven.
